今年3月，澎湃新闻报道，上海繁华商圈徐家汇的百脑汇、太平洋数码广场的店家连环欺诈，让顾客以较高价格购买低档淘汰品。

当时澎湃新闻记者走访发现，在监管部门的投诉名单中，此类投诉案例一天平均接报5至6起，却一直难以杜绝。
在这些投诉中，销售人员大多用花言巧语将顾客拉至店中，问明顾客想要购买的电脑后，先报出一个低于市场的价格，待顾客决定购买或付钱后，再推说该电脑缺货或质量差，然后推销一款“升级版”电脑，价格也高出不少。顾客购买后，往往才发现其价格高于市价数百甚至数千元。
当时徐汇区市场监管局消保科工作人员告诉澎湃新闻，监管部门接到投诉后，苦于缺少实质的证据，往往难以处罚商家。对有消费者投诉曾遭到店家恐吓威胁，由于其人身并未受事实上的侵害，公安机关也往往难以据此作出处罚。
徐汇区市场监管部门相关人士曾透露，类似欺诈投诉已经影响到徐家汇商圈的整体形象，徐汇区考虑让百脑汇、太平洋数码广场等销售数码产品的商场调整业态，未来可能改建为以休闲为主的场所。

据解放网报道，百脑汇徐汇店将投入1.2亿元进行改造，重新开业的百脑汇将以科技和体验为主，店招和外广场将有新形象：店门口将种植两棵樱花树，广场上将设立街头艺人舞台和露天景观伞座。
此外，商场每个楼层也将重新调整，一楼有国际品牌店和科技体验区，7个国际品牌馆“一品一店”，乐之品牌自营区将有高科技机器人、智能穿戴、航拍周边新品将在此亮相；二楼引进多个一线IT品牌，包括“说、视、听”等方面；三楼则打造全市首个电竞专区楼层（电竞馆、高端DIY、游戏本、相关周边），游戏爱好者将有全新体验；四楼包括智能家居、健康美容生活、自营茶吧等；五楼主打异国餐厅及时尚酒吧。地下一层也是特色餐饮为主。
据解放网报道，百脑汇美罗店也将在今年10月7日结束营业。业内预期，太平洋一期在一年后也面临调整。
