经过警方初步调查，该团伙主要组织者朱某某（化名），2015年9月份成立淮北市银升电子商贸公司，以招聘电子商务销售人员为理由，吸收并培训40多名年轻男女，冒充女性身份在婚恋网站上注册账号，并通过婚恋交友的方式实施诈骗活动。
这时，小孙的“女友”也浮出了水面，“晴晴”真名叫黄光（化名），男性，电话中晴晴的“父母”也是由犯罪团伙中年龄较大的同伙假扮的。男业务员假扮女孩进行诈骗，需要语音时就让女同伙帮忙。
