陈应春担任深圳市副市长时，其分管领域曾有两名官员受贿获刑、一名企业高管坠亡。陈应春自担任深圳市副市长以来，一直分管市财政委员会、市司法局、市审计局、市地方税务局、市政府法制办公室、市政府金融发展服务办公室、市政府采购中心。
2011年8月，深圳市金融办原主任李林因受贿罪获刑7年，其任职金融办期间的政府分管领导是陈应春。
2015年1月12日，深圳市政府采购中心原副主任李子华因受贿罪被判处有期徒刑10年。而深圳市政府采购中心，也是陈应春分管的领域之一。
2015年10月23日，国信证券股份有限公司（下称国信证券）原总裁陈鸿桥坠亡。陈鸿桥在1997年曾担任深圳证券交易所资金交收部总监，从2003年起任深圳证交所副总经理。直到2014年6月陈鸿桥出任国信证券总裁，其任职经历与陈应春的分管领域亦多有交集。
