Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, July 16-Premier Li keqiang 16th call by Jean-Claude Juncker, on his election to a new President of the European Commission.

Li said China-EU relations is one of the most important bilateral relationship in the world. Establishment of the comprehensive strategic partnership in a decade, China-EU relations have made considerable progress, the EU has become China's largest trading partner, and the deepening of the cooperation between the two sides tangible benefits to their people, and also made important contributions to world peace and prosperity.

Li noted that the Chinese Government has always attached importance to developing relations with the European Union, firmly support the process of European integration and wants to see a United, prosperous Europe. China is ready to work with the EU 2020 strategic plan for comprehensive implementation of the EU-China cooperation, peace, growth, reform and civilized four Central European partnership to implement, promoting mutual benefit and win-win of new developments in the China-EU comprehensive strategic partnership.
