On June 20, 4G applications in mainland China started in 4G mobile phone chip market, Qualcomm and mediatek also engaged in a fierce battle. Three quarters of this year, Qualcomm will post entry-level Xiao long 410 series of 64-bit chips, which will accelerate the share of Qualcomm's 4G chip.

For a mobile phone chip maker Marvell, the company launched LTE chip time and high throughput is basically the same, but limited by operations and support teams. In mainland China, Marvell similar Qualcomm is unable to provide technical support services at the same time, higher component costs of its chip products. Currently, Marvell 4G chip less than Qualcomm customers in China.

Although the two companies launched almost at the same time 4G chip, chip sales but Marvell company was much weaker than Qualcomm.

Meanwhile, the mediatek 3G chip market is still growing fast. Second quarter of this year, mediatek's quad-core and eight-core 3G chip, sales soared, has become the company's most important revenue source.

Currently, mediatek has independently developed a LTE baseband chip, launched a market-oriented solutions, but market demand for mediatek chip as well as the delivery of substantive and probably will start in the third quarter this year.

Mediatek is concerned, its cell phone chip in the entry-level market has been an advantage. But in the third quarter of this year, 4G's entry-level chip market, mediatek could be high-pass the 32-bit and 64-bit chips to take advantage.

The electronic journal Research Department pointed out that, in order to compete and Qualcomm 4G chipset market, mediatek supplies chips may be forced to take out chip price war strategy--that is, the same performance it offered even lower.

4G in the high-end chip market, mediatek in 64-bit 4G chip, there is still no plan. From a performance point of view, the chips for high-end MT6589 (32-bit) chips, and Gao Tongxiao Dragon eight hundred and one-eight hundred and fifths chip to compete, but in the field of 64-bit, mediatek has no matching products compete with Qualcomm's upcoming 64-bit eight hundred and eight-eight hundred and tenths chips.
