请勿跟踪，即Do Not Track。这时一项由隐私保护组织发起的互联网行为准则，其中Mozilla火狐浏览器、IE浏览器、Chrome先后加入该功能。开启请勿跟踪后，浏览器将自动向目标网站发送“Do Not Track”指令，阻止网站继续收集当前用户上网使用习惯或者个人数据。

据雅虎官方公告介绍。“从今天起，任何一款浏览器访问雅虎网站时，请勿跟踪功能均将失效。我们网站的隐私管理可以有效管理用户隐私，整个过程无需第三方浏览器介入。另外，跟踪用户习惯并推送个性化的广告并不是难以令人接受的方式。”

目前，谷歌公司同样也忽视该行业准则，依赖用户信息投放精准广告。

微软旗下的IE10、IE11浏览器均默认开启请勿跟踪功能，支持阻止谷歌公司等广告公司对用户信息的收集活动。
