　　梅河口市公安局网络舆情值班民警近日发现有人发布了这样一条微博：“梅河口一家医院因H7N9有人死亡，年龄31岁，参与抢救的医生已被隔离……梅河口市已有多人被感染……”这条微博短时间内被多位网友转发，微博阅读量迅速攀升，造成了极其恶劣的影响。

　　梅河口市公安局迅速核实，发现此信息为虚假信息。吉林省公安厅网安总队全力协助梅河口公安机关侦破此案。经层层排查170余人，最终锁定了制造散布网络虚假信息的违法嫌疑人刘某，并将他在其家抓获。

　　警方查明，25岁的刘某为了提升微博知名度，伪造散布9条关于梅河口市H7N9疫情的虚假网络信息，给当地居民造成了极大恐慌，并被多名网友在微信和微博上转载，造成了极坏的社会影响。

　　梅河口市公安局依据《中华人民共和国治安管理处罚法》，以散布谣言、谎报疫情，故意扰乱社会秩序，给予刘某行政拘留7日并处500元罚款。
