中新网南宁1月8日电 (金勇 王雪 张广全)毛泽东晚年图书管理员徐中远筹资百万到广西助学。8日，广西首家“圆梦班”在南宁市隆安中学正式启动。启动仪式上，江苏中远助学帮老基金会宣布捐资120万元资助隆安中学60名高中贫困生。
广西“圆梦班”发起人徐中远，曾任毛泽东晚年图书管理员达10年之久，后任中共中央办公厅秘书局副局长、中共中央办公厅老干部局局长。现为江苏中远助学帮老基金会秘书长。
从工作岗位退休后，徐中远一直热心公益事业，并于2012年4月发起成立了“江苏中远助学帮老基金会”。他先后撰写了《毛泽东晚年读书纪实》、《毛泽东是怎样读二十四史的》、《毛泽东读书十法》等书籍，其著书立说所得稿酬、书款一分不留，全部用于捐资助学做慈善，帮助贫困适龄儿童上学和贫困老人安度晚年。
启动仪式上，徐中远介绍，“圆梦班”由原中共中央政治局常委、原中央组织部部长宋平同志题写班名。作为老一辈革命家，宋平同志一直心系贫困老区。在听取江苏中远助学帮老基金会拟在革命老区为贫困学生捐资创办“圆梦班”的情况汇报后，97岁高龄的宋平同志深受感动，欣然亲笔挥毫为“圆梦班”三度题写班名。他希望“圆梦班”能够办到全国各个老区去、办到各个穷困地区去，早日圆贫困孩子读书梦。
除在广西隆安中学设立“圆梦班”外，江苏中远助学帮老基金会先后在江苏、四川、湖南、甘肃资助了多家中学、小学，捐助金额累计近400万元。
据悉，“圆梦班”受助对象每学年每人将获5000元助学金。此外，为激励教师忠诚本职、热心奉献，基金会还特意在隆安中学设立总额为30万元的奖教基金。
据了解，本次活动由广西壮族自治区教育厅、江苏中远助学帮老基金会主办，南宁市教育局、隆安县委县政府承办。(完)
