其中一个窝点是专门负责洗号的。所谓洗号，就是先用洗号软件把被盗QQ号的虚拟资产处理干净，比如把Q币转光卖光，把游戏积分、装备全部拿走。然后，再把售价比较高的靓号、短号从海量的被盗QQ号中分拣出来，在网上按不同的价格出售，以支付宝的方式进行秘密交易。有一部分号码甚至会流入诈骗分子手中，沦为骗钱工具。
