随后，媒体就NSA的监控行为向文件中涉及的游戏公司和企业进行了求证，其中暴雪与微软都已经先后给出回复，不过内容却是官味十足。
总的来看，两家公司都极力否认了自己的产品和服务受到NSA的监控，并且强调不会授权任何人进行监控行为。

目前，结合此前斯诺登所爆料的内容来看，NSA监控玩家行为的嫌疑依然很大，至于暴雪与微软为何矢口否认自己受到监控，其原因很可能有两点：其一，他们真的没有发现(或者说没能力发现)NSA的监控活动，其二，担心会引发玩家不满和担忧而不愿承认。
