新华社长沙12月1日电 (记者 周勉 刘良恒) “提一次篮子加一次价，杂交水稻种子的价格就这样被中间商们抬高了。”11月30日，在湖南长沙市芙蓉区举办的首届隆平国际论坛上，“杂交水稻之父”袁隆平用湖南方言“提篮子”，痛批中间商们抬高种子销售价格，阻碍了杂交水稻大面积推广。
袁隆平以隆平种业的杂交水稻种子为例，其平均出厂价每斤在20元左右，但到了农民手里，却飙升至四五十元一斤。
袁隆平说，少数种植水平高的农户，一般一亩地需要种子一斤半左右，而大多数一般农户则要三斤甚至更多的种子。如果按照一斤50元计算，每亩光种子成本就要150元以上，这是阻碍杂交水稻在我国大面积推广最主要的原因之一。
以长沙市芙蓉区云集的水稻种业研发和生产基地为核心，湖南省已有48家制种龙头企业与各地农业合作社开展直销对接，并派出专门的技术人员对农民因地制宜加以指导，以加大杂交水稻推广力度。
