  李本正介绍,此次将实现在地外天体的巡视探测,月球车在月面上进行巡视探测是中国国家航天器第一次实践。等月球车和着陆器落到月球上的时候,月球车从着陆器上走下来也是一个比较难的过程,因此这也是一个非常重要的亮点。


  李本正说,为实现这些功能和落月巡视勘察,我们国家建立了一套深空测控网站,在佳木斯建了一个66米的大型测控网站,在新疆喀什也建立了一个35米的大型测控网站,在上海也建立VLBI66米的深空测控站。通过这几个测控站的建设,使我国的测控能力跟世界目前水平相差无几,我们不但具备了对月球测控能力,也为以后深空包括火星探测奠定了非常好的基础。


  李本正还表示,这次到月球探测,科学上也进行了一些新的实践探索,在着陆器和月球车上各搭载了4种有效载荷,对月面、月表进行勘察,本次探测还将实现世界上首次将光学望远镜送到月球上,在月球上进行太空观测,大大提高在月球上进行太阳观测的能力。
