　　本报广州11月20日电(记者尚文超 通讯员王握文、于冬阳) 由国防科技大学研制的“天河二号”超级计算机系统，落户国家超级计算广州中心，20日正式投入运行。

　　“天河二号”是国防科大承担的国家863计划和“核高基”国家重大专项攻关项目，在广东省和广州市支持下，于今年6月在长沙研制成功。“天河二号”以峰值计算速度每秒5.49亿亿次，持续计算速度每秒3.39亿亿次双精度浮点运算优越性能，在第41、42届世界超级计算机500强排名榜上，两次位居榜首。

　　作为当今世界上运算速度最快的超级计算机，“天河二号”自主创新新型异构多态体系结构，在强化科学工程计算的同时，可高效支持大数据处理、高吞吐率和高安全信息服务等多类应用需求，具有高性能、低能耗、应用广、易使用、性价比高等特点，其综合技术处于国际领先水平。“天河二号”研制成功半年来，已在商用大飞机设计、高分辨率对地观测、基因测序、生物医药、智慧城市、电子政务、云计算和信息服务等多个领域获得成功应用，取得显著的经济效益和社会效益。
