聚胜万合由前好耶总裁杨炯纬创办于2009年10月，先以互联网广告代理起家，在拥有了Ad Network（广告网络平台）之后，开始涉足DSP（广告需求方平台）业务。其公司总部位于上海,并分别在上海和北京建有两个研发中心，同时在深圳、广州、杭州、厦门、南京设有分支机构，公司目前员工人数已超500人。

MediaV分别在2009年、2010年、2011年连续获得美国光速创投基金(LightSpeed Venture Partners)、纪源资本（GGVC）以及索罗斯旗下量子策略基金等知名投资机构的三轮投资，总计约6600万美元融资。

MediaV官方的网站显示，除了创始人之外，现任的团队高管中，包括总裁郑晓东、高级副总裁郭海、副总裁邱永玲等。

有消息称，目前国内排名前50的电子商务网站中，80%都是MediaV的客户。

早在今年8月，就已有媒体爆料称，京东正在寻求购买一家广告营销公司，而MediaV是最有可能被收购的对象，但是无论京东还是MediaV均给与了否认。

事实上，京东与MediaV早就有合作关系，从2010年开始，京东的网络推广预算多通过MediaV进行投放。

对于此次收购，有业内人士指出，目前，京东与阿里相比，缺少阿里妈妈这样的广告营销平台是京东主要的不足，而如果一旦收购MediaV，将从改变这种现象，同时也为京东的广告营销业务开辟出一块新的版图，这意味着与阿里的竞争再添一块广告新战场。
