今天下午的微信合作伙伴沟通会上，微信官方首度公布了微信的一些运营数据。微信产品部副总经理张颖透露，微信上线三年，已经覆盖全球200多个国家，发布了20多种语言版本，国内外月活跃用户超过2.7亿。其中，微信公众帐号在15个月内增长到200多万个，每天保持8000个的增长，以及超过亿次的信息交互。
关于公众账号，张颖透露最早的时候和张小龙沟通，张小龙认为既然微信是连接熟人的工具，那么为什么微信不可以让人和世界进行链接？再小的个体都有他的品牌，于是尝试推出公众平台，望每一个公众帐号都是一个APP，建立起企业和品牌的联系，这就是公众账号最早的出发点。
张颖还透露，在接下来的计划中，将不断提升微信的承载能力和信息处理能力，会和腾讯地图进行合作，提供更多基于LBS的能力。同时移动支付将成为非常重要的环节，按照马化腾的说法，只要用户在微信中绑定了银行卡，无论是在微信内购、公众账号支付、APP内购还是二维码支付，通通可以利用微信进行支付，微信支付将承载更多的商业场景。
