州、上海、南京、苏州均有班车发往嘉善，嘉善汽车站每5分钟一班车到西塘。
出租车——从嘉善至西塘打的起步价5元，总费用约25-30元。
饮食：西塘饮食以水产为主，受欢迎的菜有肉嵌鲫鱼、红烧鳗鲤、馄饨鸭、炒鳝腐、清蒸白丝鱼、塘鲤鱼
