　　台湾《联合报》报道，有网友质疑，冯是要为“中华民国”还是为“台湾国”牺牲？或直言：为了“台独”，免谈；为了“民国”，可以。也有网友批冯：时空错乱，以为现在是皇民时代、筹组神风特攻队吗？更有人引孙子的话：兵者，国之大事，死生之地，存亡之道，不可不察也。质疑生死是可以这样随便说出口吗？

　　冯世宽昨晚与媒体餐叙，餐会开始前，播放了两段美军士兵战场归国及阵亡士兵葬礼等画面。他表示，这两段影片让他相当有感触，虽然他离开军队十年，身上还是有军人气质，出任防务部门负责人是希望把部队带得更好。

　　冯世宽说，“我们已经不知道战争是如何地残酷，已经没有在枪林弹雨中流过血，我们已不知道在战场中，霎间失去我们的袍泽兄弟，当然我们也想出他们的父母、妻子、儿女、亲友会如何悲痛。”
